Hire Our Scout HQ

At 1st Burtonwood Scouts, we’re proud to offer a fantastic Scout Headquarters available to hire for Scout and Guide groups, community groups, training events, meetings, birthday parties and other local activities.

Our Scout HQ offers a great combination of indoor and outdoor space, including a large hall, upgraded kitchen, secure outdoor area, campfire circle, covered outdoor space, toilets and a separate meeting room.

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to run a training session, hold a meeting, host a party or simply need a flexible space for your group, our HQ can be adapted to suit your needs.

A space for all seasons

Our secure outdoor space is ideal for activities, games and getting some fresh air, with a campfire circle providing the perfect setting for outdoor activities and evenings around the fire.

For those days when the weather doesn’t quite go to plan, our covered outdoor area gives you another option. Created during COVID, the space has full electric lighting and plug sockets, making it a practical space for activities, meetings or simply enjoying being outdoors while staying protected from the rain.

And when you really need to escape the weather, our main hall provides a comfortable and flexible indoor space.

A modern, upgraded kitchen

In 2025, we extended and upgraded our kitchen to create a much more practical space for groups and events.

The kitchen now includes: Plenty of worktop and preparation space, Two full-size ovens, Separate tea and coffee-making facilities, Fridge and Equipment suitable for catering for up to 40 people

Additional equipment may also be available on request, provided this is arranged in advance.

A flexible meeting and training space

In 2026, we transformed one of our former store rooms into a separate, welcoming meeting space.

The room comfortably accommodates 5–6 people and includes a 50-inch TV, making it ideal for smaller meetings, planning sessions, training, presentations or breakout activities.

Our HQ is also a great option for training events, with the flexibility to use the main hall for larger groups and the meeting room for smaller groups or breakout sessions.

Free WiFi is available to hirers on request, making the building particularly suitable for meetings, training and presentations.

A great location

We’re conveniently located in Burtonwood, with easy access to Warrington and St Helens by car or public transport.

We’re also only around 5–10 minutes from the M62 and M6, making our HQ a convenient base for exploring the wider area or stopping off during a longer journey.

If you’re travelling further afield, we’re within easy reach of:

Liverpool – around 30 minutes
Manchester – around 45 minutes
Chester – within easy reach
Warrington Bank Quay – around 20 minutes

Our HQ is available for hire during the daytime and at weekends. Weekday evenings are generally unavailable as our own Scout sections use the building for their weekly meetings.
