About Us

We’re Burtonwood Scouts and everyone’s welcome here! All genders, races, and backgrounds. Regardless of your child’s physical ability – there’s a Burtonwood Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we’ll help them find it.

Started in 1976, Burtonwood Scouts has been providing young people and adults #SkillsForLife for nearly half a century.

Burtonwood Scouts is where young people make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills.

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team, and taking on new challenges.

Every week we give almost eighty 4–18-year old’s the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge, and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

Why not join the adventure?

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
